Tetepare Island Eco Lodge

Tetepare Island is home to the Solomon Islands' leading conservation program. Uninhabited for over 150 years, this rugged islands is covered in rain forest, teeming with many Endemic bird species, fringed in coral reef abundant with turtles, dugongs and fish life. The island is managed by the Tetepare Descendents Association (TDA), who established a 13 km long Marine Protected Area, which is a permanent no-go zone. The TDA has many monitoring programs set up to protect our ever diminishing flora and fauna in this region. You are welcome to donate to the cause, by way of money or gifts. We can advise you more on this once booked.

Tetepare  Eco Lodge barely leaves a footprint on this planet. With just 5 traditional leaf bungalows that can sleep a maximum of 16 people at any one time, this truly is a fantastic 'glamping' experience but with all your meals prepared for you using local methods and produce: solar lighting, no electricity and open air cold showers.

Vegans and vegetarians can be catered for. No alcohol is served here, and if you must bring your own, please respect local traditions and keep in your room and do not offer to the staff. Charge your batteries and take spares before you go, as you won't be able to charge them here. Dress conservatively  - knee length shorts or dresses, T-shirts and shorts over bathers, with no flesh showing.
